Props due.

UPDATES:Images, About section and there is a new translation tool in the sidebar.

Today`s post is all about props to special people and places. Firstly, I gotta send a big shout to the home team, my east end, Scarborough people holding it down. Respect. I can`t forget all the downtown people too and the Manning crew old and new. In Japan, there are too many people to big up so I am only gonna mention a few at this time,????? and his wife, Mr O. the king of Tokyo, and Mr H. the man with the cam, it is always a fun hanging out.

On to some places I may not have mentioned in my blog before. I have to send a big shout to a bar named ZION. This is my usual spot and I recommend it to anyone here or visiting here soon. Zion is located close to Koenji station on the JR line. (sorry I could find any maps or a website for them). This is a nice relaxing bar that pumps foundation reggae all night. Drinks are priced right and they have a good selection to choose from including Heineken(bottled), Red Stripe, and Appleton`s rum. There are some pics of the bar in the images section (respect Wendy). The staff don`t speak English, but they are all very cool people.

Another place I mentioned before, but because it is so dope, I have to mention it again. The record store “Shame” is the bomb. They have the best selection of funk, soul, reggae, and of course hip hop records. It also has some good prices with classic 12″inch records starting from 500?(almost $5CAD). Check out the new additions to my collection:

Ice Cube, Death Certificate LP - 1000?

Beastie Boys, (UK release) 4 track 12″ - 500? (includes “hold it, now hit it”, “no sleep til brooklyn”, “posse in effect”, and “brass monkey”)

Prince Rakeem (aka the RZA) Sexcapades 12″ - 500? (includes “ooh, we love you Rakeem” and “Deadly Venoms” —G`YEAH)

Last but not least, I have to big up the recycle shops. If you are in Japan, you have to check out these stores. Recycle shops are just second hand shops, but they have some good equipment for cheap as well as home appliances such as washers, dryers, and fridges. The one in my neighbourhood currently has a DAT machine, 12 track analog mixer, and a Technics 1200 for 12600?(sure it`s not in the best cosmetic shape, but it`s Technics).

I am out……PEACE.
